Columbus, OH – Craig M. Vandervoort (43130), an attorney with Sitterley and Vandervoort, was presented with the Ohio State Bar Foundation Community Service Award for Attorneys 40 and Under in District 9 for his outstanding service to the community. He is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association District 9, which covers Fairfield, Perry, Muskingum, Licking, Coshocton and Knox counties.

 Mr. Vandervoort has given generously to his community. As a graduate of Lancaster Public Schools, he founded the Lancaster Public Education Foundation in 2007. This charitable organization allows faculty, staff, students and parents to apply for grants of up to $1,000 in order to improve “classrooms, schools and related facilities.” Soon after founding the Foundation, Mr. Vandervoort helped to raise $40,000 for grants, and the first applications are now in the review process. This Foundation will no doubt be a benefit to the students, teachers and families of Lancaster, Ohio.

Mr. Vandervoort has also coached county youth soccer teams for the past five years and has served as a board member and chairman of the American Red Cross of Fairfield County.

Mr. Vandervoort earned his law degree with honors from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law in 1992. In 2003-2004, he served as president of the Fairfield County Bar Association.

In his spare time, Mr. Vandervoort enjoys spending time with his wife, Amy, and his three children, Evie, Nick and Olivia.
