Keller recognized for outstanding community service
Columbus, OH (April 20, 2016) – Attorney J. Ellen Keller of Cincinnati received the Ohio State Bar Foundation’s District 1 Community Service Award for Attorneys 40 and Under on Wednesday, April 13, at the Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza.
Keller, a partner in the firm Keller Barrett Higgins, donates countless hours to those in need. She volunteers with the Greater Cincinnati Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, having served on its board and eventually leading it as vice-president and president. Keller is also the board secretary for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Southwest Ohio Chapter in addition to serving on the Emerging Leaders Council.
“Meeting people who are passionate and knowledgeable about causes rubs off on you,” says Keller. “You may think you are blessing others with your efforts but you are actually changing yourself.”
Professionally, Keller is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and is the past chair of its Young Lawyer Section. She also lends her talents to Cincinnati’s Volunteer Lawyers for the Poor program.
Keller received her Bachelors from Miami University and her law degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Law.
