
Sponseller recognized by law foundation for community service
Columbus, OH – Carrie L. Sponseller will be presented with the 2012 Ohio State Bar Foundation Community Service Award for Attorneys 40 and Under on October 6 at the Toledo Club for her outstanding service to the community. Ms. Sponseller serves on the Board of Directors for Adelante, a non-profit Latino resource center. As an integral part of the organization, she co-chaired Adelante’s 2010 Cesar Chavez Humanitarian Award Gala, and co-chaired the “Pack to School” event which provided children who use Adelante’s services with a new book-bag filled with school supplies for the start of the school year. Ms. Sponseller also donates her time and talent to Legal Aid of Western Ohio, the Toledo Bar Association’s Pro Bono Program, The March of Dimes, the Anne Grady Center Serenity Farms and Komen for the Cure.
Ms. Sponseller is a member with the firm Eastman & Smith LTD where she concentrates her practice in the areas of employment discrimination, workers’ compensation and related litigation.
Ms. Sponseller received her B.A. with honors from Bowling Green State University and her J.D. from the University of Toledo.
