Nancy H. Rogers and Kalpana Yalamanchili Elected to Foundation Board

Columbus, OH (January 27, 2009) – Fellows of the Ohio State Bar Foundation (OSBF) recently elected Nancy H. Rogers and Kalpana Yalamanchili as members of the Board of Trustees to five-year terms.

The Ohio State Bar Foundation, the charitable affiliate of the Ohio State Bar Association (OSBA), is a membership organization of civic minded lawyers and judges. Through the talents of our Fellows, the OSBF advances the law and works to build a better justice system. There are 18 members of the OSBF Board of Trustees.

Nancy H. Rogers is Michael E. Moritz Chair in Alternative Dispute Resolution at The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law. From May 2008 to January 2009, she served as the 48th Ohio Attorney General. Professor Rogers was Dean of The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law from 2001-2008. Professor Rogers received her law degree from Yale Law School and her bachelor\'s degree with highest distinction from the University of Kansas. Professor Rogers service as a trustee commenced January 8, 2009.

Kalpana Yalamanchili is the director of special projects for the OSBA and has been a member of the executive staff of the OSBA since 1999. A licensed attorney, Yalamanchili graduated from Ohio Northern University Pettit College of Law and received a bachelor of arts degree from State University of New York at Buffalo. She also earned her Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation. Yalamanchili’s term commenced January 1, 2009.

Other additions to the OSBF Board include: Ret. Hon. Sumner E. Walters, Lima, a former judge in the Third District Court of Appeals, appointed by the OSBA to serve a two year term and Barbara J. Howard, Cincinnati, President-elect of the OSBA. Judge Walters received both his bachelors and law degrees from Ohio Northern University. Howard is in private practice and focuses on family law. She is a graduate of Xavier University and received her juris doctorate from the University of Cincinnati College of Law.
